Civil College

Civil engineers make a major contribution to our quality of life through the integral role they play in the provision of services and facilities for the general benefit of the community. Civil engineers plan, design and construct many facets of the built environment. They are responsible for protecting and restoring the natural environment and for most of the infrastructure that impacts our daily lives and they play an important role in bringing about a more sustainable future for Australia.

The Civil College Board (CCB) is seeking expressions of interest for College Board member positions for the 2022/23 term (1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023). The successful candidates will take office on a casual vacancy basis from 1 July 2021 prior to their term starting on 1 January 2022.

About us

Over the next two years, the CCB will be focusing on providing leadership and guidance to College branches, related National Committees and Technical Societies, contributing to the provision of multi-platform, high quality CPD events and supporting Engineers Australia as it moves from an advocacy role to an advisory role. The CCB has also developed an operational plan that aligns with Engineers Australia’s Vision 2020+3 and the EA 2020/21 Plan.

Who are we looking for?

The Civil College is looking for diversity, particularly in terms of gender, age and geography, as well as potential linkages with government, involvement with academia or research and development, and understanding of or involvement with emerging or related sub-disciplines.
