This document details Engineers Australia’s requirements to be assessed for independent practice as a professional engineer and demonstrates how this also satisfies BPEQ’s eligibility requirements.

The discussion paper is intended to give guidance to policy makers and other stakeholders in planning and delivering Australia’s Urban Transport Systems (UTS). The scope includes changes to the transport systems themselves and associated investment and decision-making processes.

Engineers Australia welcomes the development of the protocol and we further welcome the direction that the VBA is taking insofar as establishing frameworks and guides that will be available to consumers of services provided by Registered Building Professionals.

Engineers Australia's comments on the draft ‘Accreditation Framework’ that would outline the process by which industry schemes are deemed to provide ‘competent practitioners’ in NSW for building certifiers.

The NCRE strongly supports the primary aim of the discussion paper to create a more “socially inclusive Australia for people with disability”. It is the opinion of the NCRE that to achieve this worthwhile outcome, it is essential to provide appropriate assistive technology  to Australians with disabilities, including those who are acquiring disability through ageing.
