Partnership with Science and Technology Australia

Engineers Australia has partnered with Science & Technology Australia (STA), so our members can now access STA’s upskilling programs.

Science & Technology Australia represents 245,000 scientists, engineers and technologists.

STA’s programs include STA STEM Ambassadors which delivers Parliamentarians direct and regular access to experts in science and technology as well as delivering Superstars of STEM, a program for women and non-binary people to equip them with advanced communication skills and opportunities to navigate the media.

Our membership with STA means Engineers Australia members can also access STA’s Super STEM Communicator workshops which teach STEM professionals and researchers to communicate their work and engage effectively with policy-makers. You can view all Science & Technology Australia’s programs on their website.

Engineers Australia members can also nominate to stand on the STA Board, Policy Committee, EDI Committee and Bench to Boardroom Committee.

STA Member Benefits Program provides discounted access to:

  • Advice on governance, commercialisation, insurance, accounting and audits
  • CV appraisals and STEM-specific recruitment
  • Communications strategies, graphic design and animation
  • Hotel and car rental discounts
