Engineers Australia fully supports the scheme and endorses the intent of this consultation opportunity to increase the certification standards contained therein. We provide four recommendations for the program to consider.

In this submission, Engineers Australia provides feedback to Infrastructure Victoria in response to the State Infrastructure Strategy Update. Engineers Australia broadly supports the principles and objectives defined in the Strategy and has provided responses and advice.

Engineers Australia's response to the Climate Change Authority’s consultations on:

• Advice on emissions reduction targets for Australia’s next Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement.
• Review of the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011 (CFI Review).
• Review of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (NGER Review).

Engineers Australia's response to questions posed by the Department of Home Affairs about Australia's migration program. 

Engineers Australia welcomes the opportunity to submit a response into the Inquiry into plastic pollution in Australia’s oceans and waterways. Plastic pollution is of course more widespread than in aquatic ecosystems alone however it is in marine environments that the effect of plastic pollution is most widely observed.

Engineers Australia’s submission to the Employment White Paper focuses on three major concerns. First, the Federal Government needs to implement national consistency on registration schemes for engineers. Second, Australia is facing an acute shortage of critical engineering skills which needs to be addressed now. Third, we need to look into different business models for productivity in order to meet demand for the supply of engineers. 

Engineers Australia submission responding to the 15 explicit questions posed in the national data security action plan discussion paper produced by the Australian Government.

Identifying avenues for increasing female participation in engineering, by understanding the motivators and barriers around entry and progression. 

The discussion paper is intended to give guidance to policy makers and other stakeholders in planning and delivering Australia’s Urban Transport Systems (UTS). The scope includes changes to the transport systems themselves and associated investment and decision-making processes.

This document aims to improve marine transport infrastructure and services in Australia. It is intended to inform discussion in relation to the important issues and challenges faced in the industry currently and to ensure the industry has the capacity and capability to efficiently harness future growth opportunities from new and expanded industries.

This paper is intended to promote a nationwide discussion among existing rehabilitation engineers by suggesting a definition and scope of practice for the field in the Australian context. It is hoped that this discussion will help to foster a national identity and to provide a means of establishing broader connections within the field.

Engineers Australia welcomes the development of the protocol and we further welcome the direction that the VBA is taking insofar as establishing frameworks and guides that will be available to consumers of services provided by Registered Building Professionals.

Engineers Australia's comments on the draft ‘Accreditation Framework’ that would outline the process by which industry schemes are deemed to provide ‘competent practitioners’ in NSW for building certifiers.

The NCRE strongly supports the primary aim of the discussion paper to create a more “socially inclusive Australia for people with disability”. It is the opinion of the NCRE that to achieve this worthwhile outcome, it is essential to provide appropriate assistive technology  to Australians with disabilities, including those who are acquiring disability through ageing.
